The most important award for browser games

Welcome to World-Class Browser Games !

The Browser Game of The Year is a contest just like the "Oscars" but for Browser Games. The winner for this year will be the game who collected the majority of votes from the jury. We will be giving out the "Browser Game of the Year" award to a single title that we feel it represents the pinnacle of browser gaming achievement the passing year.

A good example of a viable winner would be a browser-based game with balanced game play, lots of fun hours to play, addicting characters and a rich presentation. Only one across hundreds of Browser Games entries will be the Ultimate Winner of the year. There will also be winners for each of the categories outlined bellow, such as game play, story. Also, players can vote their favorite games as well. Spread the word or register your game!

How Does It Work?

browser games 1 Developers register their game to a specific category (action, role-playing, strategy, casual or social), we give them a piece of code to put up on their Website and then their game is ready to receive votes from players.

browser games 2 Players can support their favorite game by voting it from the Developer's Website. Did the developers of your preferred game put up the voting code on their site? If not, let them know about this, show your support! Maybe they could use some exposure to the media...

browser games 2 The Jury will choose one game as the Browser Game of The Year.
They will also choose one game as the winner for each category listed bellow.

Jury Voting Categories

Here are the categories that the jury will vote for. Each game has a chance to win at at least one of them.
Send us your game and you might be a winner this year!

  1. Best Game Design: Conception, the game world, characters and rules. Does it innovate? Does it excel at something in particular? Does it stand out for its originality?
  2. Best Presentation: Introductory tutorial, graphics, in-game atmosphere. Are there any videos? How about sounds? How about a referral system?
  3. Best Gameplay: How balanced a game is; how rich the playing experience. In terms of accessibility and controls, is your game easy enough to play?
  4. Best Humor: A game which is no fun it is a dead game. How "cool" your game is? Does it make players laugh a lot? Do they have fun playing your game?
  5. Best Story: Once upon a time there was a browser game... and it had a story or it didn't. If it had a story, it will show up here. If it gets most votes that is.

Audience Voting Categories

You will find bellow the categories of games that are eligible for the Browser Game of the Year award, voted by players. When you submit your game to World-Class Browser Games, you can choose one. Don't worry; if a game doesn't belong to a category of your choice, we will assign one for you. Here are your choices:

  1. Action Browser Games: Basically, you move around shooting at things (or the other way around, doesn't matter).
  2. Role-Playing Browser Games: You play a role in these type of games; usually the savior of the world. What a humble role that is!
  3. Strategy Browser Games: Tactical games in which you have to make decisions. Tough decisions. Drop the hammer and dispense some indiscriminate justice!

  4. Casual Browser Games: For people who are always busy. Like really busy...
  5. Social Browser Games: For players who like to interact with each others, all the time.
